admission procedure
Once a call for an admission has been received, the following steps are to be taken.
- Prospective resident/family/responsible party is invited to take a tour of the facility, introducing them to staff and other residents in order for them to become more familiar with the surroundings.
- The RN/DON conducts an assesment, as to whether or not medical needs can be met.
- The decision is made by the family as to what physician they will use, whether it be local or out of town. A list of local physicians can be found here.
- We have two payment methods, private and Medicaid certified. Click here to find the payment scale for private based on level of care.
- Ancillary charges include briefs, personal supplies and wound care. These are billed on a monthly basis.
- Transportation is available to those who are in need of this service. Local trips are $15.00, and out-of-town trips are charged at $0.445 a mile, with an additional $10.00 an hour for staff member.
- Preliminary Admit packet is given to the family/responsible party to take to the Doctor. The purpose for this visit is so that the doctor can issue orders in regards to medications and treatments needed upon admission.
- Once admission orders are given by Doctor, resident is ready to be admitted. Upon arrival, the resident/familly/responsible party must be present to fill out all other admission papers, residents' rights, policies and procedures, emergency contact information, etc.
- Resident settled.
